Dr. Reckeweg Magnesia Carbonicum 30 CH (11 ml)

This remedy produces a catarrhal condition of stomach and bowels, with marked acidity; sour; smell of the body (esp. children); vomiting; regurgitation; stools etc. It affects the nerves (facial and dental), causing sharp shooting pains along them; must walk about. Numbness, and a feeling of distension in various parts. Affections of malar bones. Whole body feels tired and painful esp. legs and feet. It is suitable to ailing, worn out, nervous, flatulent and flabby persons esp. women, children, nurslings. Sensitive to slight causes. Emaciation. Marasmus; children will not thrive in spite of feeding and medicines. Cannot bear hands covered, yet chilled by uncovering. Spasms. Epileptic attacks; while walking or standing he frequently falls down suddenly, with consciousness. Ill effects of shocks, blows, mental distress, vexation, fit of passion, pregnancy, excess of care and worry. Dentition, injudicious feeding; milk. Dryness; of mucous membranes, skin. Children, disposed to boils. Glands enlarged.

Take 5 drops in half cup of water 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician OR

Medicate the globules and take 4-6 globules 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

• For persons, especially children, of irritable disposition, nervous temperament; lax fibre; sour smell of whole body.
• The whole body feels tired and painful especially the legs and feet; aching, restless.
• Spasmodic affections of stomach and intestines, increased secretion from mucous membranes.
• Unrefreshing sleep, more tired on rising than when retiring.
• Inordinate craving for meat in children of tuberculous parentage.
• Heartburn; sour, belching, eructations, taste and vomiting; of pregnancy.
• Pains: neuralgic, lightening-like, < left side; insupportable during repose, must get up and walk; toothache, during pregnancy worse at night.
• Pain on vertex as if the hair were pulled.
• Menses: preceded by sore throat, labor-like pain, cutting colic, backache, weakness, chilliness; flows only at night or when lying, ceases when walking, acrid, dark, pitch-like; difficult to wash off.
• Diarrhoea: preceded by cutting, doubling-up colic; occurs regularly every three weeks; stools green, frothy, like scum of a frog-pond; white, tallow-like masses are found floating in stool; the milk passes undigested in nursing children.
• When crude magnesia has been taken to "sweeten the stomach;" if the symptoms correspond, the potentized remedy will often relieve.
• Patient is extremely sensitive both mentally & physically
• Extreme acidity & soreness which runs in the medicine
• Ticking pain in the side of the head on which he lies, as if the hair was pulled; worse, mental exertion. I
• Desire for fruit, acids, and vegetables.

MODALITIES:

• Worse: warmth of bed; change of temperature; cold wind or weather; every three weeks; rest.
• Better: warm air; walking in open air.
