SBL Bryonia Alba 30 CH (30 ml)

Bryonia affects especially the constitution of a robust, firm fiber and dark complexion, with tendency to leanness and irritability. It prefers the right side, the evening, and open air, warm weather after cold days, to manifest its action most markedly. he Bryonia patient is irritable; has vertigo from raising the head, pressive headache; dry, parched lips, mouth; excessive thirst, bitter taste, sensitive epigastrium, and feeling of a stone in the stomach; stools large, dry, hard; dry cough; rheumatic pains and swellings; dropsical effusions into synovial and serous membranes. It develops a marked action on all SEROUS MEMBRANES and the viscera they contain, causing INFLAMMATION and exudation. It disorders circulation, producing congestion; alters the blood, giving rise, to typhoid, bilious, rheumatic and remittent types of fevers. AVERSION TO LEAST MOTION, even to distant parts, is due to its action on nerves and muscles. Mucous membranes become dry, hence discharges are scanty and adherent. Complaints, develop slowly, but forcibly. Pains are BURSTING; Stitching or heavy sore; going backwards. Effects are very painful; on coughing holds sides, chest, head. Joints painful. Streaks of red-lymphangitis. Gastro-bilious-rheumatic constitution. Every spot in the body is painful to pressure. Dropsical swellings gradually increase as the day progresses and disappear during the night. Children dislike to be carried or raised. Physical weakness; on slightest exertion; all pervading apathy. Ill effects; of anger, fright; chagrin. Suppressed eruptions and discharges. Alcohol. Gluttony. Wounds. Complaints from taking cold drinks, in hot weather. Often indicated in injury of the joint when Arnica fails. Muscles become hard, after neuralgia. Dryness everywhere, of mouth, throat etc. It is adapted to nervous dry, slender people. Right sided effects. Vicarious bleeding.

Take 5 drops in half cup of water 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician OR

Medicate the globules and take 4-6 globules 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

• Bryonia patients are irritable, inclined to vehement and angry, dark or black hair, dark complexions, firm muscular fibre, dry, nervous, slender people.
• Pains stitching, tearing worse at night worse by motion, inspiration, coughing better by absolute rest and lying on painful side.
• All complaints are worse from motion.
• Ailmentsfrom chagrin, mortification, anger, violence with chilliness and coldness, after anger.
• Dryness of all mucus membranes eg lips and tongue dry, parched, cracked.
• Great thirst for large quantity of cold water at long intervals, great appetite, eat varaciously
• Dropsical effusion into the serous & synovial membrane, resulting in pleurisy, rheumatic arthritis
• Desire for things, which when offered are immediately refused, oysters, sweets, coffee, cold acid drinks & sour drink.
• Pressure as from stone at pit of the stomach, relieved eruction.
• Vicarious menstruation, nose bleed when menses should appear, blood-spitting or haemoptysis
• Breasts are heavy of a stony hardness, pale but hard, hot & painful, must support them with hand to prevent least motion
• Dryness of rectum and anus with excoriation from passing stools. Stools hard, dry as if burnt and seems too large with bleeding. Constipation in hot weather, after being heated, from cold drinks.
• Fever:Internal heat with increased sweating, and full, hard and quick pulse. Body cold to touch during chill, with dry cough. Profuse, sour perspiration on least exertion. Rheumatic and typhoid fever with gastric and liver complaints.
• Dryness of lips with parched and cracked skin. Very dry mouth, tongue, and throat with increased thirst. Yellowish, dark brown coating of tongue with bitter taste from gastric derangements.
• Dry, hacking cough from irritation in upper trachea. Cough, dry, at night; must sit up; worse after eating or drinking, with vomiting, with stitches in chest, and expectoration of rust-colored sputa.
• Chilfren dislike to be carried or to be raised.
• Pressure as from stone at pit of the stomach, relieved by eruction.
• Mammae heavy of a stony hardness, pale but hard, hot and painful, must support the breat.

MODALITIES:

• Worse: warmth, any motion, morning, eating, hot weather, exertion, touch. Cannot sit up; gets faint and sick, exertion.
• Better: from pressure, rest, cold things, lying especially on painful side, cold, eating cold things.
